Raised in Ocean City, Maryland, Captain Darryl has spent most of his life on the water. After moving to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2008, he and his wife, Shannon, decided to share their love of boating with others — and that’s how Tampa Bay Fun Boat was born.
As a licensed Tampa Bay boat captain, Darryl’s mission is simple: to make every cruise unforgettable.
Whether you’re exploring the beautiful sights of Tampa Bay, spotting dolphins and local wildlife, or enjoying your favorite music on board, Captain Darryl ensures every trip is filled with fun, laughter, and great memories.
Known for his lively personality and deep knowledge of the area, Captain Darryl loves to entertain guests with stories and facts about Tampa Bay’s history, marine life, and landmarks. You might even find yourself in a spontaneous dance-off with people along the Tampa Riverwalk — it’s all part of the experience!

The Tampa Bay Fun Boat is a U.S.C.G. Inspected, 35 passenger, 36 foot commercial deck boat. Captain Darryl and his crew will tour you the waters of Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay Fun Boat is a custom built boat engineered for having a great time.
Her huge wide open deck is perfect for entertaining on the water. Additionally, with 6’3” head clearance below deck, all (but the NBA players) enjoy her very clean comfortable below deck restroom and sitting area.
Docked at the Tampa Convention Center in beautiful downtown Tampa!
